I graduated from college with my bachelors degree in Computer Science and Systems Programming. My career for the past twenty five years has been in data processing, information systems, and system analysis and design. I'm self-taught in the field of photography with help from my father as opposed to many professional photographers that studied the arts and have had technical training in the field. Being self-taught, I am always looking for resources that can help me produce the quality images I've seen by the professionals.
As I read more, I've learned that photography is not just about setting the camera and pushing the shutter release. Excellent photography is composed of at a minimum:
- Equipment
- Technical Expertise
- Business
- Communication
- Workflows and Procedures
- Preparation
I've listed resources I repeatedly refer too when I need to learn something new, refresh my memory, prepare for a photo shoot, or look for advice. I am always looking for more resources, especially ones that are visual in nature. I hope you find these resources as beneficial for you as I've found them to be.

I hope the links above will provide you with the answers to the questions I've had. As I discover new and better resources, I'll be updating my
Links page.
